At Pickleball Lincoln, our board members work tirelessly to bring the game of pickleball to the city of Lincoln, Nebraska. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and developing pickleball as a fun, social, and competitive sport to players of all ages and skill levels. Our organization is run by passionate and experienced pickleball enthusiasts who are committed to creating a welcoming environment for everyone to enjoy the game.

Joel Houston
Joel has 3 kids and enjoys boating, fishing, hiking and sports. Joel has served the club since 2018 and teaches pickleball to all levels. He has taught professionally for years and has hosted clinics with several nationally known instructors.

Craig joined the Board in May 2026 and has been playing pickleball in the community since 2023. Craig has lived in Lincoln since 1998 and served for seventeen years as the Director of Scholarships and Financial Aid at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln before taking a position with the U.S. Department of Education in Washington, DC. Craig and his wife Rhonda retired back to Lincoln in 2020 and enjoy pickleball, travel, bicycling, and spending time with family and friends.

Emmary is driven by the personal philosophy of Work Hard, Play Hard. As a teacher at Lincoln Northeast High School, she gets to work hard doing what she loves. When it comes to fun, she and her husband love spending time with their four pug pups. They also enjoy any opportunity where fun competition is involved, like pickleball!
Over the past few years, Emmary has developed a true passion for pickleball. As part of the board, she looks forward to supporting opportunities that will continue to foster growth and enjoyment for the Pickleball Lincoln community.

GARY NEDVED

Gary Nedved is one of the most experienced trial lawyers in Nebraska, having participated in over 100 jury trials in state and federal courts, with an extensive trial background in complex personal injury, professional negligence, products liability, and commercial litigation, and a broad range of cases referred by other lawyers throughout the State of Nebraska. Gary completed legal studies at Creighton University School of Law and graduated with the class of 1977. Gary has served on the Board of Directors of the Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys and is past-President of the Lincoln Bar Association.

Lisa White is a native Nebraskas who loves everything pickleball and her favorite part is helping coordinate opportunities for people to play together. She loves welcoming new people and getting them plugged into groups, In her spare time she loves baking birthday cookies and riding bikes on all sorts of adventures.

Lance has been on the board since Jan. 1 2024. He enjoys teaching pickleball and competing in tournaments.

Alex Leonida

Dr. Alex Leonida is a chiropractor, business owner, husband, father, and passionate pickleball player. He owns Healthy Start Chiropractic in Lincoln, where he helps people move better, feel better, and get back to doing the things they love.
Outside the office, Alex’s favorite place to be is with his family, whether that’s supporting his daughters in their activities, spending time outdoors, or enjoying life with his wife, Tiffany. Faith, family, health, and community are at the center of who he is.
Alex’s love for pickleball has grown from a hobby into a true passion. He enjoys the competition, strategy, friendships, and community that the sport creates. Whether he is drilling, playing tournaments, coaching others, or just getting on the court for a good game, he believes pickleball has a unique way of bringing people together.
As a member of the Pickleball Lincoln Board of Directors, Alex is excited to help grow the sport, support local players, and create more opportunities for people of all ages and skill levels to experience the game. He believes pickleball is more than a sport; it is a community, and he is grateful to be part of helping that community move forward.
